Her Story
Jill Bolander Cohen brings deep compassion, strategic vision, and lived experience with community care to her role. Her journey into this work isn’t just professional, it’s personal.
Jill has always been driven by a desire to help others feel safe, supported, and seen. After years working in child advocacy and community initiatives, she saw firsthand how trauma impacts not only individuals but entire families and communities. Those experiences shifted her focus from simply responding to crises to building systems that support long-term healing and restoration.
At The Lifeboat Project, Jill channels that heart into everything she does. She leads with empathy, listening first and acting with intention. Her work is grounded in the belief that every person, especially someone emerging from trauma, deserves stability, dignity, and the opportunity to build a future filled with possibility.
Whether she’s meeting with survivors, partnering with community leaders, or guiding internal strategy, Jill brings a calm strength and humility that inspires trust. Her presence reminds everyone around her that compassion isn’t just a value, it’s the foundation of meaningful change.
