In response to human trafficking survivors around the country creating innovative ideas that lead to their eventual rescue, our founder, Jill Bolander Cohen, thought of a silent way that survivors can signal others to receive assistance for their own rescues. It incorporates the use of the of the "H" and "T" American Sign Language, HT for human trafficking, or an easy way for survivors to remember, "HT for Safety." The Lifeboat Project collaborated with The Rotary eClub of Florida to help distribute the sign in multiple languages, as well as a silent video that will educate a potential survivor on what human trafficking is, how they can get help and rescue, raise awareness of human trafficking, and save lives.
